2018 Veterans Day

Veterans Day and Remembrance Day are opportunities to remember the sacrifices made by each and every member of the American Armed Forces and Canadian Armed Services — including so many brother Knights — who have served or who are serving now and who bear the wounds of war.

To these brave men and women we say thank you for your service. Please join us in a moment of silence to pray for each of them, especially those wounded and ill warriors still suffering for our freedom.

This Veterans Day we also remember our brother Knights who have earned the Medal of Honor for their heroic bravery while serving in the armed forces. In addition, we continue to support veterans through our Warriors to Lourdes program, sponsored in partnership with the Archdiocese for Military Services, USA. Mary, Immaculate Virgin, Our Mother,

please pray to your Son, Our Lord,

for our warriors and our veterans,

for our countries and our continued freedom. Amen.

Contact your Senators Today in Support of Judge Neil Gorsuch

Dear Brother Knights,

I urge you to contact your two U.S. Senators, and tell them to support the confirmation of Judge Neil Gorsuch to the U.S. Supreme Court.

This week, the U.S. Senate is expected to consider the confirmation of Judge Gorsuch, so your immediate action is needed.

Our Marist Poll released earlier this year found that nearly 8 in 10 Americans say it is an “immediate” or an “important” priority to appoint Supreme Court justices who will interpret the Constitution as it was originally written.  Judge Gorsuch will be this type of Supreme Court justice.

As a federal judge, Judge Gorsuch has a strong record of interpreting the Constitution fairly while affirming the dignity of human life and the importance of religious freedom.

In 2006, the U.S. Senate voted unanimously on Judge Gorsuch’s confirmation to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit, and he deserves the Senate’s support once again.

You can visit our Action Alert Center to email your U.S. Senators, or you can look up your Senators’ phone numbers and call their offices in Washington directly.

Thank you for your attention to this important matter.

Fraternally,
Carl A. Anderson
Supreme Knight
