2025 Port Jervis Prayer Chain
Sunday, October 12 · 1:00 – 2:30 PM
We warmly invite all in the Port Jervis area — believers, families, neighbors, and friends — to join together in prayer as we stand in public witness to the sanctity of life, God’s mercy, and the gift of hope. The 2025 Port Jervis Prayer Chain will take place on Sunday, October 12 from 1:00 to 2:30 PM along E. Main Street, Port Jervis.
What to Expect
Participants will gather along the designated route to pray silently or aloud, lifting up intercessions for life, conversion, healing, and peace. Suggestions for devotions include:
- The Rosary
- The Divine Mercy Chaplet
- Selected Psalms or Scripture passages
- Spontaneous personal prayers or quiet reflection
Many years, drivers and passersby show their support through waves or friendly honks. Last year, about 70 people turned out despite rainy, cold weather — a powerful testament to faith in action.
Sign Pickup & Logistics
To help identify the purpose of our witness, signs can be picked up before the event at:
The Baptist Church, Ferguson Avenue, Port Jervis
Please stop by between morning hours (TBD) so you can arrive ready to stand and pray.
On the day of the event, we ask participants to arrive by 12:45 PM to place signs, find positions, and settle in. We will briefly gather for a prayer of blessing before starting at 1:00 PM.
Why Participate?
- Public witness to life — Our presence is a peaceful, prayerful statement that life is sacred and valued.
- United prayer — There is power when many voices join in supplication.
- Support for expectant mothers & vulnerable lives — Our prayers echo through the community and beyond.
A Word of Thanks in Advance
A heartfelt thank-you goes out to the organizers, volunteers, and all who will take time to stand with us. In 2024, special thanks were extended to Stephanie Rubinow and the Knights of Columbus for helping make the prayer chain possible.
We hope you will join us — whether for the full 90 minutes or for as long as you can. Bring your family, neighbors, or friends. Together, we lift our voices in prayer for life, mercy, and conversion.
If you have any questions — about sign pickup times, route details, or prayer materials — please contact Stephanie Rubinow at pjlifechain@gmail.com
May God bless our gathering and use it for His glory.
We hope to see you on October 12!
